could not load screen capture plugin

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Install and setup extension
2.Open a web page and try to take a screenshot
3.Try to save
4.Error pops at the top with a message:

"could not load screen capture plugin"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect be able to save screenshot to PC. Instead error pops.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
• Screen Capture (by Google) Version: 5.0.5
• Google Chrome version 24.0.1312.57 m
• Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

has there been a solution to this problem?  i haven't been able to use screen 
capture for 2 months now :(

you can always right click the captured image and select "copy image", than 
open a image editor for example Paint.net and click new image (this will make a 
blank image with the exact dimensions) and just paste it in and than save it.

the above suggestion takes too much time and goes through a lot of steps.  
still longing for screen capture's convenience...still NOT RESOLVED

solved for me, if open chrome with "run as administrator".
