The 'close session' prompt is causing problems with my automation scripts. Will
be glad to see this fix.

same here, using tasker to start connectbot and run a script on my linux box on
an event works great, but leaves me with this prompt on the screen :(

Same here with Tasker, I just want to send few commands and disconnect silently.

Yeah, this bug makes the "automation" part somewhat useless.

Is there any news on this issue?
It is the single most annoying problem with connectbot for me.
Apart from that, it is a perfect tool. :-)
Just the proper automation suffers from the inability to automatically (i.e.
without user interaction) close a connection again.

Definitely one to be fixed at a high priority, not many bugs but this is a
biggie!

I think this should go under "Enhancement" rather than "Defect" as the dialog
isn't a bug since ConnectBot is supposed to show it. However, this would
greatly enhance the functionallity of ConnectBot so I think this should have
higher priority than "Medium".

This is a long standing issue. Is there any movement on it. Surely it's only
a quick change to add this option in?

Yes please, connectbot seems to be the only option for automated ssh commands,
but the close prompt makes it awkward.

I would also like this fixed

Come on dude, this has been here for TWO YEARS now. It's a simple fix to
implement and will make the program so much nicer to use for automation.
Some kind of acknowledgement would be good.
Thanks

I just wrote a patch for this, which is available in the "quick-disconnect"
branch of my fork:
git pull https://code.google.com/r/peffreyking-connectbot/ quick-disconnect

If anyone is using this with tasker or locale and is still looking for a
solution, I have written a small plug-in for tasker which allows executing
commands on a remote machine via ssh, and works with keys generated in
connectbot or via ssh itself. I'm looking for people to test it before it
goes on to the market, email me if interested

I'm looking for this feature as well. I'll try peffreyking's patch while
waiting for the official update...

I've taken peffreyking's branch (modified slightly) and submitted a pull
request on Github:
