Sorry about this, but it is because the database is now type-safe to prevent future database corruption and this likely occurred because of an unknown database corruption that has occurred that wasn't being captured and handled.
A quick and easily solution would be to use v10.0.3 to create an offline backup, uninstall the application entirely, install v10.1.0 and restore the backup.
The changes to be type-safe should ensure this does not happen again in the future!

Switched from current App Store release to TestFlight release candidate v10.1.0. Opening the app hangs on the splash screen. Not sure what other information I can provide to help troubleshoot, given I cannot go further in the app. Downgrading to Apple Store v10.0.3 works. Running iOS 15.6.
