The Division (PC) Prompts Flicker Between Xbox and DS4 Buttons / No Movement or Play Possible #103

Hey folks,

This is a brand new release so I can imagine there may be some issues.

During The Division on PC the prompts flicker between Xbox and DS4 buttons. For example, to "Select" an option the button flickers between "X" and "A" and every other action in the game (take cover etc.) until you cancel out controller mode by typing on the keyboard or clicking a mouse button in game. Other titles in Uplay such as Far Cry 3 have been working flawlessly for me, though I do launch FC3 through Steam (Uplay handoff).

Is anyone else having these issues? Would love to use the DS4 with this launch but it appears the game is confused by the Xbox controller emulation. Was surprised to find they put DS4 style button icons in the game to begin with.

To be clear, the game is unplayable with the DS4 controller and DS4Windows. I have to switch to keyboard and mouse mode in-game to actually move around and do anything.

Thanks for your time.

Cheers!

It was working for me. Did you try turning on the Hide DS4 option in the settings?

Ah. I had not. I will try later this evening (at work) and report in. Truthfully I saw that feature floating around and just thought it was referring to the DS4 app itself and not the controller.

Much thanks for your help. I'll let you know.

Cheers!

Confirmed last night that turning on "Hide DS4" worked beautifully!

Thanks!

Glad that fixed it! I was having the same problem in The Witcher 3 recently and that fixed it for me :)
