Thanks Joanne.

Paula – It looks as though you all are sending only 1 OBX result OBX|1|ST|IFHEM^PATHOLOGY CONSULT REQUEST^RWHS_LRR||See Below||||||F|||20200415120055 with a lot of NTE segments.

Original build was mapped out as listed below. I am thinking I need to rebuild to one single component on our side using the mapping code of IFHEM. I am going to do that now to see if this works, Joanne…I will let you know when I have the new mapping in place.

Hi, I added the code to pass “IFHEM” or “PBS” test results through the 732399 interface. I received some errors in Epic

Would we be getting a result with code PBS or just IFHEM?

Actually, yes… that is the order that we send as a request for the IFHEM result. My apologies for not thinking of that one too.

Thank you, Michelle

Michelle, should Joanne also be looking for the code PBS?

Good morning Everyone,

I added a new note to MS Teams regarding this issue. We are waiting on response from Joanne to see if she can grab the test code IFHEM in the engine and re-route it to MSH|^~\&|CERNER|RWLAB|RWHS_LAB|RWHS| and not let it go to MSH|^~\&|CERNER|RWPATH|RWHS_PATH

Thank you, Michelle

Thank you for the feedback Paula, I have changed the mapping for result [LAB1925] setting it to IFHEM now, and I left the mapping for the initial request [LAB5850] as PBS.

Joanne – Paula sent us the incorrect code initially, we need to have the build changed on the engine to identify IFHEM as the code that goes to RWHS_LAB and not RWHS_PATH. Is this possible in the engine for this one test? We should be seeing 2 results for these tests – PBS and IFHEM.

Thank you, Michelle

Hi Michelle -

  1. I talked to Bevan - I was looking at what went out to the interface engine when I was looking at items. Bevan deletes the second OBR of HEMC so if you have the IFHEM built as the test that will get the results that should fix it. I am sorry - I did not look at the Interface engine side out on this test and Anatomic items get treated a little different by him in the engine. So if you order PBS - we will order the PBS and IFHEM and then you will get those to items back.

  2. On the RWHS side we cannot change this for the IFHEM test. If we did that it is an all or none on our side, which would mean all pathology comes back under lab. I think Joanne had said something about looking for a test and maybe being able to route it different. Now that we know that the HEMC does not come back, can she look for the IFHEM and change the routing?

Thanks

Paula

Thanks Sharyl.

Paula – It looks as though there are 2 issues here.

  1. I may have my mapping logic backwards. I looks like I should have HEMC as the original request order we send to you [LAB5850] and then have IFHEM as the result coming back to me by looking at the message we received.

  2. These results will need to have MSH|^~\&|CERNER|RWLAB|RWHS_LAB|RWHS| and not MSH|^~\&|CERNER|RWPATH|RWHS_PATH Is this possible on your side for this Heme Consult order and result only to go thru RWLAB?

Thanks, Michelle

This came in an went to the 732377 because we base the MSH-4 in this case RWHS_PATH. So we need to also look at the OBR4.1 codes to distinguish to go to 732399 instead with the NTE segments. Don’t know if this is a template but Report is spelled incorrectly.
