Spreadsheet date input format is US-only #214

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Within a UK locale, enter "27/10/2010" into a date field
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the string to be accepted as a date. Instead, it stays as a String.
Only entering US-format dates "10/27/2010" works for the input format.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Excel 2007, Windows 7, ZK Spreadsheet v2.0.0 RC2

Please provide any additional information below.
When I enter a date, it will accept "11/26/2010" (US style) and convert it to a
date but "26/11/2010" (UK style) is left as a String. Is there any way around
this? I want to be able to input dates in the same way that they are displayed.
