Seems that Shell Infrastructure Host starts consuming enormous amounts of memory a few minutes after the start menu is opened the first time. Thought it was a Windows Explorer issue but started removing all the custom icons I created, and the issue stopped. Tried recreating my custom icons again and SIH started going crazy hogging memory again slowing my system down to a crawl. Coincidence or due for an update?
