HR Diagram Simulation: Clearer Distance Slider control #15

Consider replacing the distance range slider (with confusing ‘autoupdating’ of range to keep it at 100) to either a single slider or unbounded…

Also consider changing the icons labelling the stars to be more visible...

I changed the behavior of the HR diagram sim to allow for any distance range instead of forcing a range of 100 pc. The variable force_dist_range controls whether to force the range or not.
