The modest goal of the project is to document everything, anywhere, anytime :D This to say that anything that is missing (and it's currently a lot) is simply because it didn't get added, and not because there is a specific lack of interest or any kind of judgement around different lineages.
Specifically on SMR, it would be one of the ways to add Draeger to the tree, a very important addition (to the USA, but also more broadly).
The database started with Kanō (which reflected my main focus), but as I added more people there is always a tough decision to be made between "breadth first" or "depth first", as well as completely exhausting all details of an individual or just enough to make it to the tree. All have advantages and disadvantages: I started with adding a lot to each person, but then realised that it would be more appealing to have more entries, even if missing some lines, than very few nodes. This is especially true in the current stage, where some major syles are missing (I'm working on Karatedo in a separate local branch, for example, to add Funakoshi to the tree and allow karateka to pick it from there).
This detour to say that I will follow up this after I commit the Karate stuff: topics mention in issues are a good way to determine the next investigation step. Since the issue is about a style (which is never truly finished), I'll close it when some initial information on it has been added.
PS: you are obviously very welcomed to have a go, and if you know anyone that is interested in the topic maybe entice them to join in :D
I don't know how far down the rabbit/black hole of koryu you want to go. At least in the US, it's my impression that more people train in SMR, than KSR - although there is considerable overlap.
