Since the use of the new GeoPlateform link, the max extent is basically the world... Data from the BD Topo needs to be checked in the get capabilities request to only select the rights extents.
Right Now only the name of the layers are filtered. Maybe try to extract every feature type first and search for name of layer and then search for extent.
