The Speak-n-Spell audio output is OKay. Retro and funky. Not sure if the library is supported when the software is ported onto the ESP32.

Found an option in https://github.com/earlephilhower/ESP8266Audio and https://github.com/earlephilhower/ESP8266SAM. Works very well.
