In most cases the wheels are compatible, there are exceptions that the configuration of the hall sensors is different, I use the same wheels as they were with the board you showed in the link. but I control them using the motherboards from hover-1 rival. they work the same as the original ones. The originals from hover-1 rival have a power of 180W, they are much weaker than the aluminum ones, you can tell by the width of the neodymium magnets and the thickness of the stator sheets in the middle of the wheel

Description
Good day guys, i want to build a rover for my backyard, i have the HOVER-1 RIVAL motor wheels but i have the mainboard shown here https://github.com/EFeru/hoverboard-firmware-hack-FOC?tab=readme-ov-file with a STM32F103RCT6. I suppose the motors can work with USART3, has anyone done the same thing ?and if so, were there any complications you encountered? should i be concerned about the hall sensors not working correctly?
