Latest update wakes up MY frequently #568

The latest update 2 days ago seems to wake up the car from deep sleep frequently! I had to log out from the watch app yesterday which then let my MY RWD sleep w/out it being woken up every 10 mins or so. Pls fix! Thanks!

No changes to the wake routines have been made in years.

Are you sure this is not caused by having paired your watch as Bluetooth key, and being within range?

Check your settings - allow wake in background should be off - it hasn't been necessary since Tesla rolled out native caching last year...

Ok but unless I open the car door/s at home it shouldn’t wake the car up from deep sleep, right? It never did this until the latest update. The watch could be in range but not sure why it would wake it up as have allow wake in background turned ever since I installed it?

I’ve observed that it goes into deep sleep but it wakes up after 10-15 mins.

Thanks, Bharath

Small correction

Ok but unless I open the car door/s at home it shouldn’t wake the car up from deep sleep, right? It never did this until the latest update. The watch could be in range but not sure why it would wake it up as have allow wake in background turned ‘OFF’ ever since I installed it?

I’ve observed that it goes into deep sleep but it wakes up after 10-15 mins.

Thanks, Bharath

I am having the same issue and it does seem to be related to my proximity to the MY. My home office is above the garage and when I'm in the office or the garage, the MY is kept awake constantly unless I turn off my watch.

If I am not in proximity, for example, if the MY is in a parking lot and I am inside a building, it stays asleep. I do not and have never had 'allow wake in background enabled', but my watch is paired as a Bluetooth key. I just noticed it today, but I am sure it was not happening earlier than two weeks ago.

MY: 2022.45.15 Apple watch Ultra: 9.4 iPhone 13 Pro: 16.4.1 Watch for Tesla: 1.3.2
