Currently the only available options when exporting models are .dae and .json. Ohana3DS had .smd as an available format for exporting which was quite useful for people who wanted animated models be it for Source Filmmaker and whatnot because .dae is just awful as it always turns into spaghetti when an animation is applied to it be it .smd or .seanim.
that's because of blender's dae importer being terrible, not the exports themselves. use autodesk fbx converter to turn dae files into fbx files. then use exported smd anims on those. they should work
