Any chance the external installation of latex can be removed in the future? #253

Can something like Tectonic.jl work in this case?

AFAICT tectonic would need to pull a lot of stuff on demand, since pgfplots is a rather heavy LaTeX package, so I am not sure.

PRs with experiments are welcome.
