I opened Hitomi Downloader today and started the update and suddenly, my anti-virus went crazy and deleted Hitomi Downloader and it's doing a complete system scan now, the hell? I never had this issue before and I've been using Hitomi Downloader for a couple of years now.

Is this software safe now? what are your suggestions?

What's your AV?

What's your AV?

My AV is "Kaspersky Total Security (2021)"

The virus was detected after I pressed the "Automatic Update" button.

If you want more info, "Kaspersky Total Security (2021)" detected this virus/trojan: "PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic" https://imgur.com/jRhwnJS https://imgur.com/NREVs9H

It's a false positive. You can report a false positive by following this article: https://support.kaspersky.com/us/common/error/other/1870

I'm glad to know it's a false positive, I was worried since in the other thread @jayvzh said that someone modified something in the download link or whatever with a virus file: https://github.com/KurtBestor/Hitomi-Downloader/issues/5250

I believe that has nothing to do with the false positive by pressing the "Automatic Update" button, correct?
