Maybe, in someday, you can contribute the code to the official OpenCV library.

If I remember correctly, long time ago, there is no QT based highgui library inside the OpenCV, and someone contributed to OpenCV, so it has a QT ported highgui. I'm expecting there will be a wxWidgets based highgui.

Oh, I haven't see this before, so it looks like the opencv project does not want to incorporate the wx gui. Too sad to see that.
