Q: How does this interact with broken gates and the Twisted Passage?
A: Because the Force Beams doesn't ignore move modifiers in Law cards, you can Guide ships into a broken gate (and thus into the Twisted Passage) from system adjacent to it. But you cannot Guide ships out of the Twisted Passages.
