There is an inconsistency in storing and adding expired items

As a disgusting person, I want to keep expired items for future use. I am unable to add manually, but I can add expired items directly from the save file. Perhaps consistency is needed, either filter out the expired items, or allow expired items all together

This issue has been rejected as:

• This is an expected outcome. Expired items in the savedList should be considered as valid as they could be items which are in the fridge and haven't been removed. However, almost no user would add already expired items to their fridge. Hence, we do not allow manual addition of items into the fridge.

Reason for disagreement: Thank you for the response! I agree that expired items persist in the fridge as it is not been removed, and thus stays in the savedList. However, I believe that there is a need to handle and filter the newly added expired items from the text file should the users attempt to do so. This is in line with your design decision, which is to disallow the manual addition of expired items to the fridge.
