[mythology][star_wars] Lightsaber buying guide #77

This is a meta issue that will contain a large amount of scratch notes about buying lightsabers.

Brands in descending order of best quality:

  1. SaberForge = Most expensive but you get what you pay for. Advanced sound effects, rechargeable batteries, and best build quality.
  2. UltraSabers = Affordable prices for combat-ready lightsabers.
  3. Hasbro Force FX = A representative told me that they color match the lightsabers exactly to the movies and even add more unique power options compared to Disney. For example, Rey's lightsaber is actually yellow (not a yellow-ish lime green that Disney sells) and has a movie-accurate power on switch that requires rotating the top of the lightsaber (compared to Disney's simple power button on the side). I can confirm this is all true as I have seen a side-by-side comparison.
  4. Disney = These lightsabers are only sold in the Disney parks. Some of their lightsabers feel cheap which is surprising for how much they cost.

""" Artificer Tier include an empty hilt (no electronics) along with a DIY kit of components for assembling a lightsaber. DIY components include: switch, recharge port, speaker, chassis, and copper LED heatsink. The DIY kit DOES NOT include all parts and tools necessary for assembling a lightsaber. LED: none Blade: not included Blade Plug: random blade plug included (excludes thin-neck sabers) Soundboard: none Switch: dummy switch (may request in order notes to leave switch holes open) """
  3. Warrior = Includes the hilt, LED, and blade.
  4. Veteran = The Warrior but with a sound board that includes 3 different sound settings.
  5. Champion = The Veteran tier with premium audio quality.
  6. Hero = The Champion tier with 6 different sound settings and two LEDs. The second LED is commonly used for impact colors/flashes. Source: https://saberforgeforum.com/forum/general-store/374-teir-3-champion-vs-teir-4-hero
