The Vanilla Tweaks datapack, as well as the datapack it was forked from by MadCatGaming (https://www.madcatgaming.com/one-player-sleep-data-pack/) both allow for kicking a sleeping player out of bed to stop the night-cycle from completing. This is useful in the case of players requesting night time to pass for collecting zombies/turtle egg hatching but other players either not seeing the request or ignoring chat.
Preference would be to follow how MadCat does this, as they provide some additional "charm" or "character" to the process with cute little sayings for both sleep and waking a player up, but that's wholly subjective on my part
