Thanks for this design and putting it up for people to build. I am hoping to make a couple of modifications to simplify the build for the materials I have on hand. By chance would you be willing to publish STEP files to make that easier? I am using this to teach myself FreeCAD, I imagine that you designed this in a different package.

When you look at these files, keep in mind that I was also in the process of learning FreeCAD, so some things may be sub-optimal.

Also, I'm providing you these files with the same Creative Commons license as the STL files. Please don't distribute them to anyone else.

The geared focusing stuff is not in this ZIP file - those files are in OnShape. Here are the links to those parts:

The rack and pinion were actually from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2072364 I had to install OpenSCAD to manipulate them, and it was a bit painful.
