Normal Event v2.2.0 cut 2 - Tabs not appearing #16

Open ghost opened 9 years ago

Quite a strange behaviour when editing an event. On selecting the event the tabs (Content and en-GB) are not initially displayed.

If another root node in the tree (i.e. Locations) which has not previously been expanded is then clicked, the tabs appear. untitled untitled1

Alternatively if the browser page is refreshed several times the tabs sometimes appear but not always. This is then same in IE11 and Chrome.

I have a short video clip (15 sec 191KB) I can send you if it will help explain.

Hi Rob, can you send me the video. Couldn't reproduce this behavior. Have you set debug="true" in your environment or debug="false"? Clean install or update?

Think I postpone this issue to 2.2.1 to have more time to elaborate and fix.

Hi David, Apologies for the delay in getting this video clip too you. Hope it is of some use.

            Debug is true <compilation defaultLanguage="c#" debug="true" batch="false" targetFramework="4.5">

This was an update to 2.1.4 and 2.2.0 cut 1 (with the version number set back to 2.1.4 to allow the package to install as you suggested in a previous email)

Umbraco 7.3.0 is still not officially released (although the RC is). I’m not waiting any longer, so I’ll set up a system which has not had EventCalendar installed before and install your latest package.

Thanks again for your continued dedication to this.

Regards, Rob

Hi David, FYI this still happens on a clean install of 2.2.0 beta 3 in IE11 and Chrome.

Firefox appears to be unaffected and the tabs appear straight away.

Apart from, that beta 3 is looking very good.

I have started extending the event object by adding additional fields which have been requested by our users.

I think this is in good shape to start showing our users now.

Thanks very much for all the time you have put into fixing the issues so quickly over the past few weeks.

Regards, Rob

Hi Rob, thanks for the input. Will keep trying to get behind that issue. Glad that the beta 3 looks good. Will keep it back for a few more days and then release to public. Want to do some little bit more testing to be sure.

If there are any more issues just create them on github.
