Behind the Ocean Institute, there are stairs you can walk down to the beach. The interesting part is that the beach itself is not accessible at high tide and the waters are very rough with lots of rocks. So the stairs are only open to the public during the low tide. After going down the stairs, you can walk along the narrow beach between the ocean and the cliff.
