MarlinFirmware / Marlin

Marlin is an optimized firmware for RepRap 3D printers based on the Arduino platform. Many commercial 3D printers come with Marlin installed. Check with your vendor if you need source code for your specific machine.

BLtouch : Z axis doesn't compensate nor moving during printing #11755

Closed mohamadharris96 closed 5 years ago

mohamadharris96 commented 5 years ago

I installed BLtouch on my homemade printer with Marlin 1.1.9 recently and it doesn't compensate the bed leveling. Before I installed BLtouch, the bed limit switch for Z axis seems to work perfectly with manual spring bed. I thought this is because I update the firmware from 1.1.8 to 1.1.9, but I tried both firmware and both gave the same result.

From what I observed on most of BLtouch videos and toturial. BLtouch works to compensate the unlevel bed to give a good first layer by driving Z stepper up and down. But my stepper motor doesn't move at all during printing. It only move when it's a next layer. Before it start the printing, I realized that it took the reading of 9 points. But those point seems useless since it doesn't compensate anything at all.

This is my configuration.h

please edit your post and attach the 2 config files as a zip file

is this still an issue when using bugfix 2.0.x?
