Export 3D files for non Sketchup viewers #4

The .dae and .kmz formats can be exported from within Sketchup without needing extensions. While not usable for CAD, they would permit viewing of the forms without using Sketchup.

I'm on board.

Is there some way can automate the process of generating these files or at least make it as easy as possible for anyone who makes a PR on the repo to update them? I'm worried about them becoming out of date, but at the same time having more open and accessible formats is important.

The 3D export in Sketchup (at least 2017) might be enough. See the PR I filed. Let's see if that satisfies folks. Another question would be which Sketchup format (2015, 3016, 2017, etc.) to save in. Older versions might not be able to open newer formats...

I'll close/cancel this as the discussion on the forum has taken a different, simpler direction.
