Hi there,

I am working with eye trackers for a university project and I was wondering if there is a chance to get this software updated or does it work with the Tobii Eye Tracker 5?

Else do you maybe have a recommendation for software to use for testing UI layouts with a Tobii 5 ?

Hi, I didn;t have a chance to test it with Tobii Eye Tracker 5. Most likely the software will work with it. Maybe the DLL from Tobii should be updated, not sure. If you try the software with Tobii Eye Tracker 5 and let me know the result, I can make changes if necessary.

Awesome, I ordered it, so it should arrive this week, I'll let you know how it goes when I test it, I really appreciate your help.

Hi,

Yeah I tested it, it seems to work however there seems to be quite a delay around 500ms compared to the live tracking as shown by the Tobii Experience app.

However sadly Tobii have changed their support to use the Tobii 5 as a testing device or for windows eye tracking so what I can do with it is very limited, they didnt want to share the drivers either that you mentioned to update your software.

But because of the difference in tracking between the 4C and 5 it does seem to malfunction a little.

Anything specific you would like me to test or record ?

Thanks for the information. I'll probably buy the 4C version. That will be more reliable.
