What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install notscripts in computer 1, set the password, working wonderfully
2. install chrome on computer 2, synced extensions using google account
3. computer 2, 3, etc said that no password is set.
4. set password as instructed on computer 2
5. delete caches, restart chrome, etc to flush memory and cache
6. computer 2 still say no password is set

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
use notscript on another computer, see "no password is set" even after password
have been set

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
current latest version (Jan 8, 2013) OSX 10.8 & 10.7, Chrome

Syncing extensions seems to cause the password file to be rewritten whenever
Chrome is started. In Advanced Sync Settings You have to turn off sync and
settings. Then it will work. I had lots of problems getting these settings to
work. I think you may have to do it in the Google Dashboard:
http://www.google.com/dashboard
NotScripts is so much easier to use than the alternative. It is definitely
worth the effort.
There may be other better ways to accomplish this such as securing the file
against deleting and writing, or changing the manifest in some way. I tried
these things but I ran into technical problems and gave up on them.
