Bug - PC player joining DC player game #11

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. PC Player tries to join a DC player's v2 game but cannot because it says you
have entered the wrong password.
2. Using any game name and no password creates this issue.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
PC player should be able to join DC player's game normally.

Additional Information:
I haven't been able to test this using DC v1 as the host.

I have tried to recreate this with DCv1 as the host, and it doesn't seem to
happen there. I haven't had a chance just yet to try with DCv2 as the host.

It also happened the same error (wrong password) when I created a PSOV2 game
(using PC version as host), then disconnected (pso crashed in this case) and
after trying to get into the same room game.

I can't seem to reproduce this bug in either case. I've had no issues creating
games on DCv2 and joining them on PC (both v1-compat and v2-only games) or
creating a game on PSOPC (v2-only) and disconnecting then rejoining.

I don't want to be quick to chalk this up as a Cygwin bug, but I know its not
happening in either case on FreeBSD... I'm going to tentatively mark this one
as a Windows-specific bug...

This was a rather stupid problem on my part, and was fixed in r300.
