Can't turn off "colorize monochrome GB games" #105

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start a GB monochrome GB game
2. Turn off the colrize feature
3. Game will still be colorize

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
black and white as in old versions but get colors instead

Does this issue occur on VBA-M r781 (http://vba-
m.ngemu.com/vbam/vbacompiles/msvc2008/VisualBoyAdvance781.7z)? If so,
please report the issue to the VBA-M forum.
No as it does not have the feature

What version of the product are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
2.01

Please provide any additional information below.
Even if I turn the features off, close down the emulator and come back,
the games are still colorized.
In fact, this seems to screw up the Metroid II color patch (aka Metroid II
DX) and the colors look all garbled.

The metroid 2 color patch doesn't work in VBA-M (for Windows) either, which
this
emulator was based on. So I don't think I screwed it up. It should recognise
the
Metroid II DX as a Gameboy Color game, not a Gameboy game, and it should not
affect
the palette.

OK.
However, is the actual bug report a recognized bug, i.e., turning off "colorize
monchrome gb games" does not actually turn the feature off, correct?

Metroid 2 DX works in VBA 1.7

Pokemonhacker broke it in trunk and subsequent ports based off trunk with his
fucking around with the CGB+SGB hacks.
