Longhaul should have standard seats instead of infantry compartment #4823

Environment

MegaMek Version: MekHQ v0.49.14 Development Snapshot Operating System: Mac Java Version: 20.0.1

Description

The Longhaul is supposed to have room for twenty-six passengers, taking up 1.95 tons. MegaMek currently has this weight allotted to an infantry compartment, but this causes it to be invalid when loaded. Putting aside the question of whether Support Vehicles can round infantry compartments to the kilogram like they can cargo bays, that is not enough for twenty-six foot infantry troopers.

However, that is exactly enough for twenty-six standard passenger seats at seventy-five kilograms each. I suspect that is what it is supposed to have, rather than infantry compartment.

I don't have the sourcebook myself, but I've asked on the Discord and it appears to simply list "26 passengers (1.95 tons)" under notes. This must have been misinterpreted when adding it to MegaMek.

Not a misinterpretation. A deliberate decision to make them useable for moving troops as troopspace.

If they are being used for civilian role the note is to say the number of seats. Lots of SVs had this done to them to represent civilian units being dragged into military use.

It's still invalid when loaded, though.

Could a note be added clarifying this conversion was made?

By the way, there's a ruling that says that it is illegal to carry infantry in passenger seats, so doing that would require an actual refit.
