Hi folks, anyone got similar or solution to this with

geomashup 1.4.10 and wordpress 3.4.1 and latest headway themes (already tested
HW not the issue seems to be Geo?

Error log shows [Mon Aug 06 19:48:47 2012] [error] [client 66.249.72.108]
Directory index forbidden by Options directive:
/home/sites/hampshirehistory.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geo-mashup/

Returns internal 500 error and crashes site, fixed as soon as geo mashup
deactivated, and tested not other plugins etc.

Hopefully after revert I can work around this and have also reported to host in
case their server settings having an impact, but might also be an issue with
other hosts?

Do you get the 500 error immediately on activation, or does some other action
trigger it?

Try copying the index.php file from wp-content/plugins into the geo-mashup
folder. Does that help?

Hi Dylan, after extensive testing and investigation and getting nowhere seems
the index.php resolved the problem? But I am not totally confident of that, but
having it working on 3 sites so can only conclude thats whats made the
difference. Sorry to have wasted time on this but couldnt find a solution. With
3 sites working with that work around conclude whatever it is seems to be
solved by that.

Thanks as ever Amanda

Was it hard to reproduce? I'd like to know what triggered it if possible - Geo
Mashup shouldn't generate requests to it's own directory.

Hi we have not been able to replicate which is weird. We have had no further
issues since last reported. If anything emerges that's worth tracking will let
you know. But a few weeks on all still fine. If anything does reoccur we will
let you know thanks again.
