ButterCMS SaaS Tutorial with Azure #41601

Hi - we'd like to contribute an entire article about using Azure with ButterCMS (a headless CMS). We're opening this issue to get your thoughts + approval before we proceed with a full draft tutorial.

This tutorial would explore creating and managing content for an example online store using ButterCMS, a fully managed headless content management system (CMS). You learn how to deploy your store app by using Azure and examine some options for scaling and monitoring the app.

Looking forward to your thoughts!

@jakelumetta Thank you very much for offering to contribute to the MicrosoftDocs repository with a product suggestion. There is definitely a well defined process to contribute content as outline in the Microsoft Docs contributor guide overview. What isn't super clear is where this content would go as there appears to be no existing ButterCMS documentation. Unless you are aware of an existing service where this documentation would be appropriate, I would need to research this. Is this product deployed within Azure web services?

@Mike-Ubezzi-MSFT Yeah open to your thoughts on best place for this. Butter is an API-based CMS so it can be integrated into any modern tech stack. Developers query our Content JSON API to pull content into their application. So the angle for this tutorial would be showing a sample application, likely a CMS powered marketing site or ecommerce use case, built on .NET, Node, etc running on Azure. I don't know if you have a "Solutions" or "Partners" tutorial section in docs perhaps?

@jakelumetta Thank you for this additional detail. I have brought this to the attention of the content team to evaluate and provide some guidance.

@Mike-Ubezzi-MSFT Hey Mike - hope you had a great weekend. Just wanted to check in and see if the content team had any questions or suggestions on where a good place for this kind of tutorial would go?

@jakelumetta I apologize for the very long delay in returning an answer to you. This request has been reviewed by the correct individuals who evaluate this content. This request cannot be facilitated because the product is currently not an Azure Service nor is it even a 3rd party option from the Azure Marketplace. The best option is to host the documentation on https://buttercms.com/docs/ and publish a custom VM image or publish a custom service for consumption in Azure. This is the best path for gaining Azure adoption. From your Azure Marketplace presence you can create links to your hosted documentation and blogs, etc. I apologize that after all this time we are unable to facilitate your request but I think that pursuing the Azure Marketplace option is the best opportunity to gain visibility with Azure. Regards, Mike
