New use for rightmost 16 pads #4

The pads right of the scale notes are used to display the notes of the last pressed chord. Makes no sense to me most of the time. Except when in chromatic mode the rightmost 4 or 5 rows of pads are wasted.

What about being able to assign MIDI messages to these pads? One could switch instruments, mute and start tracks or even map one pad aftertouch to mod wheel or filter cutoff etc.

As there are 4 layouts now, this would only apply to the condensed note layout. I am thinking of just making live note update the standard fill for this. Some chords don’t make sense to add the notes, unless you want an easy chord arpeggiator pad, however, as some chords contain sharper or flat notes, this does fill in the ‘missing’ notes that are filled on the first 7 rows using the globally selected scale.

I may be open to having an option to fill these pads with live notes or with triggers, but I also have plans for triggers elsewhere.
