Duplicating original lines #4

The output file looks like this:

1 00:00:57,891 --> 00:01:00,626 The thing I've been asking myself is, The thing I've been asking myself is,

2 00:01:00,627 --> 00:01:04,930 what kind of sick individual names a street Edgewood Way, what kind of sick individual names a street Edgewood Way,

3 00:01:04,931 --> 00:01:07,917 and he put it half a mile away from Edgewood Lane? and he put it half a mile away from Edgewood Lane?

it's basically duplicating all the lines instead of translating them. Any idea to why this might be happening? I used the merge flag.

Have you used transletesubs tool before with any success or is it your first translation attempt?

As a matter of fact it did work a couple of times, but then it started doing this. I tried reinstalling it but to no avail...

Ok, as I expected, this is a known issue. This has something to do with the google translate API that is being used. You see, it is free, however the caviat is that google can choose to block the user at any time they want, this is the case if you use it for too often. Then gotta wait until they unblock you.. The solution to this would be to add another google translate API, where you could introduce your API key, however then you would have to pay for this and I wanted a simple enough tool that doesn't require the user to go create a google translate API key, pay, then install the tool and use it... I might take a look at alternative free google APIs a bit later to see if this could be somehow fixed.
