[ Submitter's Name ] Jason Schultz
[ Submitter's Affiliated Organisation ] Mozilla Tech Policy Fellow
[ Additional facilitators ] Terah Lyons,
What will happen in your session?
Artificial intelligence is changing our world. From healthcare to criminal justice to employment to education, AI systems are impacting more and more people every day. Less clear is whether these impacts will be positive or negative, or in which ways AI may have differentiated impacts across different demographics or whether and how the effects of AI may disadvantage or advantage specific groups of people.
The next five to ten years represent a critical juncture in technical, legal, and policy development and in technology governance in the AI field. In this roundtable discussion led by Mozilla Tech Policy Fellows Terah Lyons and Jason Schultz, participants will discuss where the field is headed--and how the Mozilla community can support this important international conversation.
What is the goal or outcome of your session?
In this session, will lead a participatory discussion about the state of AI, its social and economic impacts, and the ways we can respond via technological, legal, and policy interventions.
