uname -a Linux linus 2.6.35-30-generic-tuxonice #56~ppa1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Aug 4 10:36:22 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux

Manufacturer and model Asus 1215N

Bumblebee version 2.2.0-1~maverickubuntu10

$ optirun glxgears [sudo] password for linus:

• Starting Bumblebee X server bumblebee _PS0 Enabling nVidia Card Succeded. P3MO Enabling nVidia Card Succeded. DGPS Enabling nVidia Card Succeded. FATAL: Error inserting nvidia_current (/lib/modules/2.6.35-30-generic-tuxonice/updates/dkms/nvidia-current.ko): No such device ... * The nvidia driver was not loaded and the nouveau module should be deactivated * Try: sudo rmmod nouveau && sudo modprobe nvidia-current * The Bumblebee Xserver failed to start. Please check /var/log/Xorg.8.log [fail] bumblebee could not be started - optirun cannot be executed.

sudo rmmod nouveau && sudo modprobe nvidia-current does nothing,just a flashing cursor.

Have you tried altering the script as described in issue #552? Also you need to blacklist nouveau, also described in #552. Not a solution but a work around, hopefully will get you up and running.

I altered the script and blacklisted nouveau..
