I started getting black screens whenever I launched into the OS. Add parameter pci=noacpi. Without parameter blank screen.

I'm having same problem as above (same laptop & os).

milos-silni commented 13 years ago

Solution that I found for this problem is to update kernel to 2.6.38-10-generic and remove pci=noacpi parameter. Reinstall bublebee 2.3 from repository & it should work.

My kernel is 2.6.38-10-generic. Without pci=noacpi blank screen. Any idea?

strange ... I have spotted small diference ... my bios version A05. I've updated mine bios last week from dell website. Also I have reinstalled ubuntu using usb live distribution not cd-rom (sounds stupid but I can't start installation without pci=noacpi with cd-rom). That is all that I can remeber.

Please try the new version here : https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee.

After update Bumblebee works. Next restart my screen upside down. Thanks for the answer.
