Fresh install Natty Narwhal bumblebee added via ppa route. Login works however windows have no 'management' no frames for manipulation. everything just pops up top left.

Thought it was perhaps a compiz error and reset to defaults but same problem occurs. PCI IDs match lspci in xorg.conf.

Any ideas. I can post any logs if needs be.

Thanks

Simon

Could you attach a screenshot if possible? Interesting logs are /var/log/Xorg.0.log, /var/log/Xorg.8.log, /var/log/kern.log. Did you change any defaults or sessions after installing Bumblebee?

I've had to restore to previous xorg.conf to get a working system back but will attempt later and post results. I tried changing from Ubuntu to Ubuntu classic and same results occurred. I've attached logs which hopefully still contain data from a few hours ago.

I think something similar happned to me not long ago, but had nothing to do with bumblebee. So, it sounds like the installed nvidia driver tried to take over and screwed compiz up. Change your xorg.conf config to use the intel driver an reboot. Then, if the problem persists, open CCSM (compiz settings manager) and look for "Window Decorations". That's probably what you're missing.

Hope it helps
