Allow gestures to be user configurable #170

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run mobileterminal
2. go into config
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the default gestures are not customisable. Should have ability to pop up a
standard graphical 101-104 keys keyboard and allow users to choose a
combination of keys represented by the gesture.

Some ASCII characters also can't be typed out without entering their full ASCII
code, and on old msdos you needed to press some special combination of keys to
get at them. Perhaps entering the ASCII value into a gesture setup would be
nice in addition to choosing from a combination of key presses from a graphical
representation of a keyboard.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

Sorry you can configure the gestures. But the ability to enter ASCII
character's value seems impossible. Also the graphical keyboard that has TAB
key and DEL key and COMMAND key and ALT and ESC key and RETURN key and other
special function keys would really help out with configuring the gestures.
Maybe use this special keys chooser a part of the setup for configuring the
shortcut menu as well. Apple's text keyboard is missing a lot of special keys
(for example the cntr and alt and command)

I am assuming we're talking about the applesdk branch now (426 is based on
this).

r445 adds a framework for configurable gestures, but is missing a lot of common
gesture actions.

This issue was updated by revision r450.

Now supports configurable gestures for arrow keys, page up/down, etc.

Marking as fixed. The gesture actions can be improved, but that can be a
separate bug.
