MycroftAI works great but doesn't run on the background #11

Using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS:

Installed as a snap, it does not open when clicking on the icon from the launcher, instead it has to be ran manually through terminal.

This might be the reason why there are so many people on the Ubuntu App Store rating it 1 star and saying that it doesn't work.

Hi Kain,

This Snap is still an early release, very much a minimum viable product being that it runs at all which is why it's still only got an edge/beta candidate. There are a few issues listed on the Snap store page that we're aware of and need to fix up before we will progress the Snap to a "stable" release.

My experience is that launching the app from the launcher does run Mycroft but there is no visual indicator to know what's happening. We are certainly wanting to fix that! Perhaps in the short term we should just launch the Terminal UI?

In terms of the ratings, these are actually from an old community contributed version of the Snap that broke but remained in the store for a long time. They are connected to the name "Mycroft" in the Snap directory so I haven't found a way to clean them up yet.
