I think @khyde mentioned cron jobs for updating visuals and animations when we discussed this. github actions looks like it can automate jobs (see 15:32 in the video Scott posted in the CI topic)

We can work through setting up a website for the animations using gh-pages. The NOAA website can point to this so we don't have to jump through the hoops of updating that website.
