Shifting into 4-panel loses Longitude range when in long-time view #1397

Open karlmsmith opened 6 years ago

Reported by steven.c.hankin on 9 Oct 2012 21:30 UTC

  1. Make a long-time view in One Plot mode
  2. Drag a longitude bar on the map
  3. hit Update Plot
  4. request Compare 4

The 3 new frames will go to a global longitude range -- losing the range selected in the single frame view

==> This bug can wait until 8.1 in my opinion

Comment by @noaaroland on 8 Jan 2018 22:33 UTC The issue is that the range of the values in the view are controlled by the plot on the left. The map should not be visible in the other panels since the longitude range cannot be edited from there.

Note, the plot is right since it got it's values from the upper left panel.

Note, drawing on the other panels, changes the map in the upper left panel (as it should).
