Looking at a problem with data at a specific time in SOCAT lead to a prop-prop plot that was wider than the available space, thus a horizontal scroll bar. The following file contains the URL for the plots shown:

If the plot is scrolled all the way over, the region shown in the drag does not correspond to the mouse locations in the drag. In this case the mouse drag was the Mar 11 06 at the bottom axis to Mar 11 00 at the top axis. And the times constraints do not correspond to either the shown or actual.
If the plot is not scrolled over, the region shown does match the mouse locations. But the constraints are still off.
