Model Grid overlay #25

I mentioned this in #24 but would also like to add as separate issue/enhancement. I would like to have the option of a model grid overlay. For QA purposes of testing and comparing. I would like to be able to see the model grid for existing models and new models to help pick out points to compare.

Thanks Tom, this is a planned feature and hopefully will be implmented in the next wave of fixes and enhancements
