Person / Vehicle detections not received #81

I hate to do this as the situation is vague, but wanted to raise it anyhow and I'm at my end of troubleshooting...

Yesterday sometime after 13:05 MDT and before 16:00, the person / vehicle detection messages stopped showing up.

My Home Assistant integration is still receiving them, and UniFi is still recording them.

At 11:45 I had updated to 1.1.0-beta2 and added the PR file to fix the connection issues, then restarted NR.

I did get at least one detection message after this point, and I do still get the motion events -- just not the person / vehicle detection ones.

I reverted to 1.0.1 and still no detection events.

Running UniFi Protect 4.1.51 and UniFi OS 4.0.6 on UDM-SE

My suggestion is to update to Beta 3

Updated, restarted Nodered, still not working. :(

Then its very likely they have changed the API (Once again) We currently have very little time to debug Unifis API chase game

@crxporter I currently have no time to keep up with Unifi

It wouldn't shock me... it's just odd that, for once, the Home Assistant integration didn't blow up at a change and is actually still working (and it's the NodeRed one that isn't working right). 🤷‍♂️

I'm happy to provide any sort of debug info, I just don't know where to go to get that... when I turn debugging on on a camera node, it gets really noisy and I can't expand the objects quickly enough to see if they're showing what we are looking for.

If you're a pre-release type person?

Unifi have added Web hooks - which is where our focus is going Eample: using Node RED HTTP-IN can make use of them

The way we're currently doing it, is a bit....... child like, but does work, so strange that is stopped working - my only assumption is a change to their API

Thanks, yes, I played with those a little, but it seems there isn't the same info about camera involved, etc. Figured I'd wait on implementing anything with that until Ubiquiti had at least gotten to 0.2 release, since they're liable to totally rearrange everything. LOL

For now, I have added a failsafe of having my HA person and vehicle sensors trigger the same flows... it isn't perfect, but it's better than nothing.
