I'm not totally sure, but I think might be an intended feature. The glock requires three different components so that it's harder to make by just one person working alone. Normally you need different departments working together.
So... it needing more metal inside then it actually costs when upgraded to make could be an intended feature?
If this is intended, it is a stupid feature. THEY ARE CARGO, 50 METAL COSTS LIKE 10 POINTS.
Doesn't have anything explicitly to do with cargo though, since you need a max upgraded lathe to build it, so you need R&D. AFAIK this is intended, supposedly to make it somewhat more difficult to make guns, which is a good principal, but it's a retarded implementation.
Revision: NT #939
Problem Description: Glock Barrel does not account for upgrades to decide when it can be made.
What did you expect to happen? To be able to make a Glock Barrel with less materials when the autolathe is upgraded.
What happened instead? The Glock Barrel required that I have the full amount for a non-upgraded autolathe to make it instead of accounting for discounts. The cost itself was lowered, but it required me to have the full amount before I could make it.
Why is this bad/What are the consequences? Not overly important, just means you need to almost fully load up the autolathe with metal before you can make a Barrel, but annoying. Steps to reproduce the problem
EDIT: The above was done with a fully upgraded autolathe, aka best manipulators and best matter bins. Forgot to mention.
