GitHub CoPilot ignores files opened with Remote Explorer #345

Do you read the FAQ?

Describe the bug Not sure if this is a vscode-sftp issue or a GitHub CoPilot issue, but CoPilot refuse to touch files opened with Remote Explorer.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open any code file in Remote Explorer
  2. Try to invoke CoPilot in any way.
  3. CoPilot is not available.

Expected behavior CoPilot should be available

Extension Logs from Startup - required N/A - there is no view with the name "SFTP" .. (??? separate issue i guess?)

As im not sure if this is a CoPilot issue or a vscode-sftp issue or both, i also reported it at https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/54244
