High CPU Usage when mining Ergo #339

Not sure why CPU is needed when doing Ergo mining. For each GPU i enable in NBMiner, its about 10% CPU Usage each time on a 6core 12thread CPU

Have this issue also. No issues with other miners mining the same coins.

Try updating to v38.1. I'm mining ERGO on a Celeron G3900, and the CPU usage for it is 1.0% or lower, often sitting around 0.6%.

on v38.1, similar cpu usage observed, tried --no-health either, its the same.

Driver Version 471.11 Ryzen 5 3600

I also have this issue. 7 GPUs, 80% CPU usage

Win 11 Driver 471.41 Ryzen 5 5600

It could be a problem with Windows 11.

I installed the old Nvidea drive and it was back to normal... Version: 466.77

I was having the same problem mining ethereum.

On Ethereum at least, it seems to be an issue with HAGS enabled, when you disable it, the CPU usage drops significantly
