Stuttering with Distant Horizons and shaders enabled #13

Heavy stuttering when both are active, no stuttering when only one is on. But stuttering goes away when pressing F3.

Is this in single player? I'm able to play with both shaders and DH enabled without any issues, so need to troubleshoot this with you to figure out what's the most likely cause.

This might be normal when the world is newly generating, since world generation, shaders and DH together is quite heavy. But after the initial loading and generation, it should smooth out.

Other things to check:

  1. "Enable Distant Generation = False", in the mod settings for DH.
  2. If this is with the default shader ("ComplementaryUnbound + EuphoriaPatches"), check whether there are 2 of these showing up in the shader selection screen, then select the one that allows you to configure it.

Let me know and thanks :)

It's in singleplayer. Distant Gen is set to false, I've been in the world for about 30 in game days, switching between ComplementaryUnbound + EuphoriaPatches (both of Comp shaders are unchanged from the modpack) and the other shaders. But today theres no stuttering when on BSL or Bliss. Edit: There is stuttering on BSL and Bliss but only occasionally and or looking in one direction in a dark oak forest.

Glad the other shaders are working, at least :). Please see if the following changes work for Complementary Shaders with Unbound + Euphoria Patches? Settings: Camera: Bloom: Off Performance Settings: Block Reflection Quality: Off

Turning Block Reflection Quality to off, fixed a weird water glitch that was happening to me this weekend.

Worked for a few seconds but went back to stuttering, however i noticed when in F3, theres no stuttering at all, is that weird? New to modding minecraft.

Sorry for the delayed reply. The reason is because I unfortunately cannot think of what else might be causing that. I'll leave the ticket open, in case I learn of something new, because because I cannot recreate it my side, I cannot test this either.

If you ever notice the issue being gone (which sometimes happen when the mods get updated), please do let us know.
